Inlandia-Quest (cover)

About “Inlandia: Quest”: There are many places to explore in Inlandia. Taking the time to get away alone and to listen is not easy. I challenged myself to do just that. “Inlandia – Quest” is one of seven in my “Solitude Series.” Orange was not my favorite color. I wanted to try using this color and ended up enjoying stitching the vintage Kimono silks of orange, cream and black. Outside I drew and painted the flower. The “book” idea came at 3am. Each page is different like a story. Texture and color are added using hand embroidery, rice paper, quilting, yarn, organdy, and beads on this artwork.
