Announcing the launch of Inlandia: A Literary Journey, the official literary online literary journal of the Inlandia Institute.
Submissions are invited from writers who live, work in or write about the Inland Empire.
By submitting work for possible inclusion in the Inlandia Institute’s online literary journal Inlandia: A Literary Journey you acknowledge that any work that you present is your original work.
Only unpublished works please. For our purposes, any work that is accessible by a search engine on the web is considered published, which includes personal blogs.
Simultaneous submissions are fine but please notify us promptly if work is accepted elsewhere.
We acquire First Electronic Rights with non-exclusive archival permissions. If accepted your work will be featured on the main page for at least one week, after which time your work will be archived on the site indefinitely according to genre and region.
Please submit no more than 5 poems (any style, any length), 1 piece of nonfiction (essay, memoir, interview or book review), or 1 piece of fiction (short story, novel excerpt, flash fiction). Include these works in one Word document (.doc) along with a brief cover letter stating your tie to the region.
Send your submission to editor@inlandiajournal.org
Please use the subject line “Submission: Your Name” (where “Your Name” is your actual name) as the subject line.
If possible/feasable, please include an MP3 of your work.
Also, we invite submissions of relevant artworks and/or photography pertaining to the region (.jpg format only, please).
