A writer and photographer, Yelizaveta P. Lavina Blossom – Featured Artist

Lavina Blossom is a writer and visual artist. She has an MFA in Poetry from the University of California, Irvine, but is largely self-taught as a visual artist. She has an art blog about her process, which can be found at http://lavinablossom.com/blog. Her poems have appeared in The Paris Review, The Literary Review, and Kansas Quarterly, as well as the online journal Poemeleon. Her short story, “Blue Dog,” appeared in the online journal Women Writers. She is an Associate Editor of Poetry for Inlandia: A Literary Journey.

Tami Sigurdson

Since moving to Palm Desert several years ago, Tami Sigurdson [“smoke trees in bloom“, “easter lily cactus pod“, “living desert pathway“] has been capturing the striking contrasts of the flora and fauna of the desert and its unique beauty with her photography, which she continues to further her interests in. Coupled with the images she creates, she most enjoys putting pen to paper and spends her spare time writing poetry and short stories reflecting on her keen interest in social studies and life experiences.

Suzanne Maguire

Suzanne Maguire grew up running in the hills behind La Sierra University, playing hide and seek among the orange groves on Irving and Victoria Avenue, and racing her brother and sisters along the Gage canal. She took classes at Riverside Community College and received ehr bachelor’s degree in history from the University of California, Riverside. The more she writes the more she realizes that this city, or some fictional version of it, is not only the setting of her stories and poems, but a major character as well. Roger Camp

Roger Camp’s images have been published in over 100 magazines, most recently on the covers the The New England Review, Redivider, Kestrel, Lumina as well as in the NYQ, Antioch Review, Southwest Review, Chicago Review and the Harvard Review. He is the author of three books of photography, Butterflies in Flight, Thames & Hudson, 2002, 500 Flowers, Dewi Lewis Media, 2005, and Heat, Charta/DAP, 2009. His documentary photography has been awarded a Leica Medal of Excellence and a Graphis photographer of the year award. He has taught photography at The University of Iowa, Columbus College of Art & Design, and the Cite Internationale Universitaire de Paris. Karen Greenbaum-Maya

Karen Greenbaum-Maya is a clinical psychologist in Claremont, California. She has been writing since she was nine. In another life, she was a German Lit major and read poetry for credit. She has placed poems and photographs in many publications, including Off the Coast, Umbrella, Abyss & Apex, qarrtsiluni, Poemeleon, Lilliput Review, In Posse Review, and Sow’s Ear Poetry Review. She was nominated for the 2010 Pushcart Prize. Her first chapbook, Eggs Satori, received an Honorable Mention in Pudding House Publications’ 2010 competition, and will be published in 2011.
